Whats up with my subs???

got 2 10" image dynamics idqs. anyways i wired them in parallel last night and put them in my truck. sounded like crap. all like distorted and didnt bump at all. anyways today i was going to figure out what i did wrong. i took out the speaker wire out of one of the terminal cups and the subs started pounding and sounds really good. but my question is how does it sound better with one sub working than both. the other side still moves but i dont get how it sounds better with one than two? anyone know? i have them both wired correctly.

it recieves power, but it doesnt hit just kinda moves and sounds distorted when i had it by itself

Are they new subs, or did you buy them from a friend? You should take it back if its new. And take it to the person you bought it from if its used.

maybe wired them into like 8 ohm?

could they be out of phase? try running the one "bad" sub by itself and see what happens. if it plays fine by itself then when wired together you wired them out of phase
