what's up with image dynamics?

Actually your information couldn't be further from the truth. The XS components have done extremely well this year and so have amplifier sales. The Q700.2 was recently reviewed by Performance Auto & Sound magazine and did extremely well.We will be introducing a less expensive line of amplifiers at CES as well.

We have been working on other projects along with the XS8, IDMAX15 and IDQ15v.3. We have already finalized and gone into production on the ID15, CXS64v.2 and CXS62v.2. As stated above, the IDMAX15 has been finalized and in tooling. When the tooling is done we will have parts sent and samples will be built and tested with product shipping to customers by January. The IDQ15v.3 is in final design stages and will go to tooling before December. Our new ID series amplifiers have been designed, tooled and are in the testing phase now. Upon completion we will start on production. We will have product available to ship to customers by CES. We are also working on a line of marine products that will launch next spring. We have been busy AND we have been growing throughout 2008. We are not going out of business any time soon.

so your saying in january we will be able to buy a 15"idmax?

I'm gonna have to agree. I was not a fan of my CTX components...... I explored other options and happy I did so.
Those are entry level comps. I'd suggest getting the XS drivers. I heard the 6x9s and 6.5s and they both sounded VERY nice.

after loosing a CX62 on a clean 50 x 2 or maybe 75 x 2 at 2 ohms...I changed directions myself...I would like to try my old school bnib CD1e mini horns someday..though...maybe soon....
sounds odd when people are giving their ID oem mids about twice as much wattage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

one is fine the other is scratchy and you here it pressing in on the cone...the coil reads odd....as well...not sure what happened...i'm either hoping to find a cheap single replacement or selling the good one to someone who might have one go out on them....i had planned on running them with my horns....

If the coil is scratching, we can fix it. Call me or e-mail me.

I am not bashing ID, but they are known for slow releases.
They're also known to have good sounding speakers. ...that might be the cause for the slow releases.

Good things come to those who wait.

When I'm with my girl, she doens't mind when I slowly release on her.

Understand something please, Image Dynamics IS NOT a large company with 10engineers, 5 tech guys and a massive sales staff. We are a small company that is committed to designing and building QUALITY audio equipment. And yes, sometimes we are slow to release, but we will not release anything until it's 100% right!

first, before i get started... i've been using id gear for a long time. love their products. back in the day just about every forum raved about the chameleons, cd1's, idq's, and idmax's. at that time they were new products and everybody was using them. the xs line has been out for a while now ans you don't see too many people posting threads about them. not saying the new line sux, it's just nobody seems to be buying them up like the older line. y'all need to invest more on advertising and you sure as hell need to speed things up

But, I already said that.

Seriously though, I wasn't disparaging your company -- in fact I said I was not bashing you guys.

Just stating a fact.
No worries, I understood completely.

I was agreeing with you and trying to explain WHY. Unlike many companies in this industry we make sure our products are 100% before we release, instead of making revisions every year or making up stories about why something failed and having to do damage control. All this does is damage our company's image and tarnish our reputation for quality.
