i've been waiting very patiently for over a year for the new id XS8 to come out... still nothing. i just heard it's probably gonna be another 90 days(12 months!). i want even go there for the new idmax 15. that sub was supposed to come out last july. i'm tired of the false promises. i really like mike and eric @ id, but i'm tired of the let-downs. i have a brand new set of ultra horns collecting dust waiting on that new 8" midbass driver. no... i don't wanna try the XS69

Something tells me they're probably waiting for CES or something, since that's when most companies release their new stuff. You'll probably see em next spring.
hell, they said that last year. i think their going under. the amps and the xs comps aren't selling to good.

hell i was sponcered by Image a while back and was waiting on the IDQ 15v3.. which they said would be released in a couple months .. that was over a year ago... and they told me that they would never release a XS8 or XS4 and u see what they are doin now..... great products but they seem to lure people along for a ride

when did 90days = 12 months???

I myself would rather have a company take their time and get things right, then see companies put shit out every year that's no better than their last product.

I also don't like seeing a line of subwoofers where the 8" has the same motor as their 15" or 18" counterpart.

This is the reason I am doing a test to compare some ID products to others in their price range... My buddies and I really want to see how their components stand up to some other brands out there.

The MAX15 is currently in the tooling phase. We are waiting for our parts suppliers to finish building the moulds for the basket, cone, spider, etc. WE ARE NOT going to release something that isn't correct.

The XS8 has already been tooled (basket, etc.) and we have been testing the "finished" sample pieces. We have found some anomolies that WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH, and as a result we will wait until we get the product perfected.

Now that we are SO close to CES, it is better to wait until then to do the official release.

id is still a great company and as stated above by someone from id they want there electronics to be properly tooled and 100% functioning when they leave the factory. no matter the wait i give sincere grattitude for not doing what other companys do! that is why most company's have so many items returned

Actually your information couldn't be further from the truth. The XS components have done extremely well this year and so have amplifier sales. The Q700.2 was recently reviewed by Performance Auto & Sound magazine and did extremely well.

We will be introducing a less expensive line of amplifiers at CES as well.

We have been working on other projects along with the XS8, IDMAX15 and IDQ15v.3. We have already finalized and gone into production on the ID15, CXS64v.2 and CXS62v.2. As stated above, the IDMAX15 has been finalized and in tooling. When the tooling is done we will have parts sent and samples will be built and tested with product shipping to customers by January. The IDQ15v.3 is in final design stages and will go to tooling before December. Our new ID series amplifiers have been designed, tooled and are in the testing phase now. Upon completion we will start on production. We will have product available to ship to customers by CES. We are also working on a line of marine products that will launch next spring. We have been busy AND we have been growing throughout 2008. We are not going out of business any time soon.

ID is not the company it once was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif but they do still have some good products....
I'm gonna have to agree. I was not a fan of my CTX components...... I explored other options and happy I did so.
