I usually get an amp and stick with it for a few years, like , I had 2 Soundstream Ref 500's , I ran those 2 for 5 years before one died on me.

I then bought an MTX 801D , I ran that for 2 years before selling it and getting an eD 9.1. I ran the 9.1 for about 2 years and sold it and bought a Kx 2500.1 .

I dont EVER plan on buying another amp until the kx craps out on me, if it keeps on pumping, I wont get another amp, I really cant see myself needing more than 2500 to 3000 watts rms.

Now subs are a different matter, I have a bunch of different subs laying around, I have a BL 10" , Treo TSX 10.44 , eD e12k , some top quality flea market Rockwoods //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif , a TC 3K on the way and an Adire Audio Brahma MKII on the way.

I am ready for a change on my subs myself, I have been running Solo-Barics for a couple of years now. I use to change them out periodically with a pair of Alpine 12" Type X's before I sold them.

But yea, it's about time for a change. Something with a little more SQ but has SPL capabilities.

HMM, i'm perfectly content with my dated choices. I won't be upgrading subs until this mag quits on me. My amp manufacturer isn't a popular choice around here. Well I sold mine simply because, I got outta car audio. And even then I hated to sell it.

I lub that amp, but I still see it from time to time, since I sold it to a friend.

I just picked one up local last week for $200. I installed it for a guy about a year ago and he wrecked the car a few weeks later, so it has very little time on it. Couldn't pass it up for that price. Bought my first one about 2 years ago, way before they were a forum boner and I've been very happy with the amp and CS of Sundown.

Many that jump on the latest bandwagon also jump off quickly to be ready for the next one. You can get some great deals that way...

Just like all the popular stuff online, a lot of people jump on the bandwagon to try out the greatest thing since sliced bread. Once they realize that they're not unique and that their amplifiers don't cure cancer, they move on to something else. The same thing can be said for Fi. That's how bandwagons work: everybody is looking to get in on that new, cool, cutting edge product ahead of someone else.
Nothing wrong with Sundown at all and Jacob is a great guy, but that's the way things go online. It's been like that for at least the last 5, maybe 6 years, although the speed at which people move on to something else seems to be getting faster.

there nothing special. just a solid amp.

i wasn't impressed by the one i played with..... wasn't a bad amp but with all the hype i expected a bit more.
