I have a alpine cde 9881, bought it in march, never had a problem, but today it just blacked out nothing is working, I reset the unit, changed all the fuses, and checked for loose wiring, still nothing . no noise, blank screen. Whats with it.

Just the Alpine HU? No amps or subs? I would say try another radio to rule that out, but that might be hard.

I would try it to rule the radio out. Maybe try another ALpine so you don't have to swap out the harness and all of that.
