Whats this sloppy paste inside my broken amp...

Picked up this Soundstream PCA2000 (picasso). I bought it for cheap because it doesnt work, seller says it power up with no protection, just doesnt produce music. Came without a back cover so inspection was easy lol

There is this sloppy looking paste all along the back wall though, is that from factory? Some of the black/gold posts are sticking to it, some arent

Just dont know what the stuff if.

looks ot me as the amp was removed form the sink maybe for show by someone that didnt know what they where doing

some amps backplate holes the mosfets to the wall of the sink removal of this abckplate could ahve casues the mosfets to blow or fail.

I know my old PPower 600.2's backplate was off once and i turned it on only to fry the amp becasue the backplate held the mosfets to the wall.

best bet is to try setup an RMA through soundstream and pay the $50-$150 to have it fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
