whats the sole purpose of big subwoofers??

i'm not interested in numbers, i am just looking for the loudest configuration that fits into the space i have in my car....

How many people have four 18's and are concerned about numbers? Hardly any. Those are the people who tune to the high 20's/low 30's.

One of the most common mistakes I see people make is to buy big subs and try to cram them in the trunk. It works much better to buy your subs based on the box that can best utilize the space you have available. Typically for a trunk, 2 twelves will work better than larger subs would.

Another advantage to smaller diameter subs is that you can mount them on a much smaller surface, giving you more box layout and orientation options than a larger sub would allow.

i agree... but depending on what i go with, the box will be going where the back seat used to be... i need my trunk more than i need passenger room.

although i will have to take the front seats out to get the box in, it will be worth it! lol

no it wont, the gain you get from having the subs in the trunk will probably blow away whatever you think by having them on the back seat. If you arent worried about back seat passengers then just wall the thing off.

NO!. IF your gonna have the in the back seat. Take out the back seat and wall it off. If you just put a box in your back seat like many morons I have seen it will most likely look and sound like shit. Complete total shit
