no i'm not going to try to beat it. I know it will be super hard to beat. I'm just kinda curious to what it is. Just seeing how close I am to the record. I'm only 17...so I still have a little while if I decide to try to beat it...which I doubt I will.

in the world of db drag it hasnt been beat , as least as i know it.

there is other formats that let yu do it a diff. way but i belive db drag rules are the toughest and damand the most respect for the scores!

I thought rawdogj had a wall or Orions?

Anyway, I have done 156.4 in a cutlass, whole box was trunk and rear deck was whole port. I never did serious competitions besides the local ones, but they did have an older TL back then. I think it has been recalibrated as of late though. Biggest comp I did was clash of the champions which was DB drag, but that is about it.

Just curious, how did you measure the volume (ft^3, not dB) of your trunk? And did you use the rear deck as it was or did you modify it for a correct port size?

The record for trunk cars in db drag is Mike Stiers with 153.6 and that was in street b which means only 2 12" woofers off of 2 autotek mm4000.1 and a single pc2150

i had a wall AFTER i did the whole trunk things.

Oso is correct the rules were this...

2 12's 3 10's 4 8's

2 non strapple or 4 strapple amps

1 batt. in the STOCK location

rear seat must be able to fold up and down (factory also)

car OFF

no rear deck mods.

only 4mm of deading in the car.

db drag meters on the dash.

if you buddy thinks the score is louder , tell him to give it a try .... its DAM hard to get that loud!!!

here is a link to my stats (2006 153db is from 2005 season)

as for figuring the CUFT. for the trunk ....

take you max hight, width and depth times them all up and then divide by 1728 that give you your max cuft.
