Whats the difference?

Would there be any difference hooking up a 300watt RMS @ 2 ohms sub to either of these amps?

Kenwood KAC-606 - 150watts RMS X 1 @ 4ohms

JBL BP300.1 - 300watt RMS X 1 @ 2ohms

Please tell me that the JBL would be the better overall selection, I just bought it to replace the Kenwood. Now that I've learned a little bit more, I realize that I'm doubling the watts out of the Kenwood by running it at 2 ohms. It just doesn't seem that powerful though and it clips very easily with the gain turned up about half way.

Any input would be very appreciated.
