Whats the difference between SA-8v1 and v2?

So I bought a recone from Sundown, obviously its ready to drop in. I also got a kit from woofercooker but its not ready to drop in, all the parts are not glued together. I was comparing the coil and its seems shorter than the one from Sundown. Did I get a v1 from WC and a v2 from SD or was there a v1.5 possibly?

When I originally got my SA-8's I got them from WC and another member, the one not from WC was bad and I got a recone from SD. Originally it was a v1 but with the recone being newer I asked WC for one with the newer softparts. So I'm confused on what I have. I can get pics tonight.

I believe SA may have changed the coil when they added the spider rings and changed surrounds/spiders. there were a few little tweaks with the SA8s over time.

The v.1 had a few different coil revision -- if you have a D2 they got slightly shorter to optimize the OD for a higher QC pass rate. Overall the performance is not a whole lot different.

Both are D4, just wanted to make sure I wouldn't really have any issues if I needed to use both.

If you got one that the box says "v.2" -- we made 60 of those as a test-bed... they have a totally different coil.

If the box says "SA-8" or "SA-8 v.1" on it then the D4 coils should be the same unless one is a darker color.
