I have this Soundstream XXX 18 that recently the spiders on it just basically fell apart. I was told I need to do a full recone on it to fix this problem. The only problem is I don't know a thing about recones and all the different parst of a sub. So, I'm just wondering if any of yall can help me figure out what I should do basically? is it worth reconing?

Yeah it's worth reconing. There are a lot of people who you can send it to, to recone it for you. The most expensive and also most popular is PSI at Fix My Speaker - Custom Subwoofer Rebuilds, Repairs, and Supplies!. Otherwise you can sell it in its current state for a couple hundo.

Thanks guys! I would be happy to send it somewhere to be reconed but the only problem is it weighs well over 90 pounds so it would probably cost an arm and a leg to ship depending where their at. Are any of these people in the Florida area do you know?
