Whats the diff between type r and x

I have to find a 10in that is load in a sealed box. Maby the fi q or a alpine but, what is the differance between the type r and type x is the x have more spl?

Also any other suggestions for a 10in sealed that has a lot of spl.

i always thought x's were designed more for sealed boxes and the ahr's are for ported... of course this is just my opinion so please flame on

I have a Type R 10 in a small sealed box. It sounds really nice, and tight, but even at full power I wouldnt say its a spl monster or nothing. A ported box could be another story.

SPL and sealed boxes rarely occur in the same sentence...for all out spl, ported is the way to go

Type x is 1000 rms.

Type r is 500-600 rms.

Very musical, with incredible low-end extension.

Wont hold a candle to the R in a high-tuned ported setup, tho.
