whats the deal with crunch and hifonics?

I was lookin around my way ( at the swap shop )

and everyone there had crunch amps for sale.

fiew had hifonics.

but they look verry similar - same company making them or something?

are the crunch amps like the bottom line components or ??

I ended up with a new hifonics brutus 1200 and im happy with it.

but I almost ended up with a crunch.

Yes, same company also makes MBQuart, etc. My crunch amp was alright...

Maxxsonics would be the parent company of Hifonics, Autotek, Crunch and MB Quart.

the specs on them were way crazy,

like the 1000w version only gave off about 250w@4ohm

such a big gap between 1k at 1 ohm and 250@4

The crunch groundpounder amps are very nice. The pzi line is meh.

Maxxsonics owns MBQUART, Autotek, Hifonics and Crunch

Crunch is the entry level and does have Max or Peak power points as does all amps in the similar price range.

Great bang for the buck product.

The GP3000D-Pro is 3000(+) watts RMS and does not share peak power like other Crunch products.

well for me even the Crunch PZI1500 was outstanding. 147.2 on 2) 12s.

My brother now has a GP3000D and that thing is killer. Good for music too. And of course I like the lights on it.
