whats the big three

replacing power and ground wires under your hood with bigger better wire. (especially from battery positive to altenator and battery grounding). This will (or allegedly will) help your vehicle's electric and steady voltage.

PS: try to ignore the fegs who try to give you crap. They are plentiful on these forums.

but should i get a bigger battery and better alternator? i now have 1 mono amp at about 875 rms to a kicker 12" sub and am getting a 2 channel 150 rms (per channel) to run my front stage speakers, i'll run the rear off the deck. i don't have any problems now, but i want it done right.

i had a friend test it and he said it was like 863 rms, i trust him but don't understand how he measured it. it's a sound storm fd1500. their specs say 1000 rms at 2 ohms but my friend said it was less. i'll be adding a 2 channel amp to power a set of pg rsd65cs components, i was told they'll handle 150 rms no problem, haven't chose an amp yet though. thanks for the help

Youll be ok without the altenator. IF you plan on playing your system with your car off, id suggest getting an extra battery or atleast replacing your one up front with a high quailty (deep cycle) one. If your not gonna play the system with the car off, dont worry about the battery; youll be ok. At close to 1000 rms id definetly reccomend doing the "big 3." just to help keep the voltage more nice and smooth.

It's going to depend on your stock alt. Do you know how many amps it is?
at 800-1000 watts (with a friend measuring it closer to 800) he is going to be ok with the stock alt... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
