All you need is some closed cell foam and mass loaded vinal in the 1lb variety. Both can be purchased on ebay for much less than the stuff these speciality car audio companies are selling.

"specialty" is the key word, even if u can't spell it correctly.

SDS sells MLV that is specifically engineered for its acoustic characteristics, and he clearly publishes the STC, tensile strength, nominal thickness, and elongation info...nothing like that on eBay's ads.

Surely eBay Sellers couldn't be repping 2nd quality, QC-rejected, substandard goods, could they?!

For Butyl based deadeners, Dynamat, Second skin, you can buy second skin second quality at discount at their site, stinger road kill pro offers a good value, just harder to work it if you make a mistake and need to remove it.

There are other cheap ones but one layer of the brands mentioned does what 2 layers of the really cheap ones do, you get what you pay for, there are other brands mentioned here on the forum that seem good and popular with some members, if price is expensive it is usually better.
