in daliy setup 12 gauge should be largest you need but ive seen some peopple use 8 ga wire to their subs in high power cases.

Don't listen to these guys. If you listen to rap I'd recommend 12 gauge wire to the fronts and 10 gauge to the rears. If you listen to rock or country, I'd suggest 14 gauge all around. The wider the wire, the lower the frequency that you allow to reach your speakers. For subs, I'd go with nothing smaller than 6 gauge.

For speakers, 16gauge is fine.

8 sets of component speakers to a 4 channel amp is an excellent idea. That way the wattage is constricted and you can't blow them. Also, it would be like running 7 gauge wire to a really good speaker which would improve bass response. I would recommend 6 gauge for the subs though, mine sound.

8 sets? are you sure you dont mean 2 sets of comps ( 4 tweets, 4 mids, 4 crossovers)?

listen most of the people in here are ****ing with you because you should of searched first because there are probably 10 million threads about this already.

14-16 guage for the comps, 10-12 gauge for the subs and ur good.

there will be no audible difference when it comes to size, but if you tried to run 2000rms through some 16 guage it probably wouldnt be good..... you run wire based on the power you are running.
