whats the best 4-channel amp?

I have a kicker zx850.4 its not bad it does 215w RMS ,but I want something cleaner that can take on more heat to run my 2 sets of kicker SS65.5 High end Comps. I was looking at the JL Audio 450/4v2 (black) looks good but the RMS is only at 75w....so I am asking whats the best 4-channel amp? money is no problem what so ever... going out for lunch my replys will be slow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well -- if 200w rms to 100w speakers from a quality amp doesn't get it done for you I think it's either your ears or your ego that need modification, but...

these would be a step up from the Kicker

I'm not really sure what there is to gain, but if you're the type that listen with your eyes or want to impress those who do any of those should take care of it.

wattage doesnt matter so much on comps to me as they way the power gets to them

id rather have a 75 ture rms amp vs 300watt flea market amp

id go zapco or audison

there is no "best". If you want balls out look into the Zapco, Tru, Genesis, Hertz, Audison, the New Q amps from Image Dynamics are sick too.

That 450/4 is 150x2 + 75x2.

"Best" is a relative term depending on whom you ask. Don't cheap out if you don't have to. You'll typically be rewarded for getting the "best" you can afford.

If you like JL, try one of their new 600/4 HD amps (150x4).

You can certainly get cheaper, or much more expensive. For me that was the performance/quality level I wanted at the price I was comfortable spending.

I think I am going for the Zapco DC1000.4 with On-Board Digital Processing ,but still looking into the JL HD600/4 thats also nice.

the DC's are great. one of my first DC's was a 1000.4. then i went to a 650.6 and ran my fronts actively. perhaps something you should consider. it was a better setup.
