well it has a 1 year full replacement warranty then a 5 year warranty to replace it but i can't get the money out of it. so hell decent huh =). well i'm kinda pissed after buyen my Alpine's i found out on both speakers that 1 side of them has a problem with the hook ups. one side is jus burnt up all to hell and the otherside looks like sumone jus wripped it out..=( is there a way to fix this or taken it to an audio store be the best idea..anyhow i only payed 100 bux for both speakers so i guess i'm jus running 2 ohm possible of 4 ohm right? anyways tell me what the deal is or if u know of how to fix it thanx
If you bought the alpine from a store you should refund it and get another one, but it looks like you bought it second hand from someone which carries those risks. If you want to try to fix it yourself you need to open up the HU and solder new wires of the same thickness or slightly thicker replacing the damaged wires. If that doesn't help you might need to take it to a shop and get it repaired, but they could be expensive. Did you pay $270 for it? If you did, you should refund it and get a brand new Alpine CDA-7995 which is currently on sale from crutchfield.com for $299 and comes with a wiring harness, dash kit, antenna adapter, and some guides which is a realy good deal since it normally costs around $500.
