What's really going on?

Ok, I've been hearing alot of different stuff about electrical, somebody please help me with this. As of now I have a Alpine 505 with two 7" headrest screens and a alpine 50wx5 amp running to 4 infinity kappa 6x9 3-ways. I am planning on adding a Hifonics Colossus XXV 3200wx1 rms with two orion hcca dual 2 ohm 10" subs. I already have a stinger sp680 hooked up, but will that be enough or will I have to upgrade my altenator and add a bigger battery? My stock altenator is already 160 amps.

Most def another battery, that Alt might hold up. Personally I would get a PM 3100 and a 250 amp alt with at least 130 amp @ idle.

One D3100 XS Powermaster with a strong battery under the hood would work also. And what led you to choose the Orion subs?

Originally, I was going to go with two 12" l7 kickers, but the bass with 10's seem snappier than 12's and plus the 10" orions power ratings kill the 12" l7's so it's like getting the best of both worlds the snappy bass of a 10 and the power of a 12.

there is no such thing as a "snappy" difference between a 10 and a 12, its all about the install and dampening factor of the amp. my 18" can feel snappier than a 10"

with that much power, dont go with L7's
