whats more fun than...

your reply is worthless
Ahh, the irony.

Well, now for an on-topic response.

Some faily new rap cds that have come out lately that I like - Rick Ross, Young Dro, Young Jock. Haven't heard the DJ Unk CD.. and actually only one song from it, Walk it Out - good song btw. Good beat, and the dance is hilarious.

Some rap cds have one good song on them, and that gets annoying. Download songs with high bitrates and make your own mix, always the best thing.

making new new MPEG mix ona dvd with like 40+ music vids for my indash is always fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Unless every MP3 you download is in excess of 300 or so KBPS then its worthless, or the equipment you are using to reproduce the music is worthless. Anything less than 300kbps sounds like a ringtone from a cell phone, just the noise floor on the recording is horrible. If you dont believe me, and if you think your equipment is compitent, get your 192kbps recording and play it...turn the volume on your max comfortable listening level, and tell me you can hear a hissing noise in the background...now that my friend is a form of sound "coloration" that I dont want...

ps...the sound "coloration" was for you Jim as you love teh warmth and noise from your t00bs (i

um...chevyaudio, are you sure you're not using a turntable?

low bitrate MP3's dont raise the noise floor, in fact that would result in more data and a larger file size, the exact opposite of what the low bitrate MP3 is for in the first place.

Most likely its poor MP3 decoding hardware in your equipment, or just the amplifier.

No, the way to notice low bit rate MP3s is in distortion. Easiest way is in cymbal crashes, which sound very one-note-ish and electronic. Unfortunately once you start hearing this you'll be forced to re-rip your music collection and use a higher compression. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

^^^i get that with my ipod...that annoyin hissing when i turn it up and sounds like static

i just turn down the ipod volume and turn up the head unit volume....

but i am using that crappy tape deck hookup

would downloading songs at a higher bit rate fix that hissing?

and when i use my ipod its a lot louder then any cd....cdz i have to put it at like 25..ipod i put it at 15 and its the same

If you're using the headphone output of your iPod then turn it down till its the same as a CD. Otherwise you could clip the preamp and send a nasty clipped signal to your amps and potentially kill your woofers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
