What's high and low pass do?

okay, i dont know what your amp is...so this is a basic answer...

when you switch it to low pass, it only allows frequencies of 500hz or lower to go to the output to your speakers. when you put it on high pass it only allows frequencies above those through its outputs.

basically, for subwoofers, keep it on low pass, and use the lp frequ knob to choose what the range is going to yoursubs.

if you were powering speakers from the amp, youwould use the high pass or full setting.

if its for subs, keep it on lpf

use the SEARCH BUTTON!!!!
Lol I was waiting for this, saw it a mile away.

Why tell him to search when the question was already answered. Esp. when my answer probably took as long to give as it took for you to tell him to search.

Just answer his question, it doesn't hurt anyone...

Where did you get 500hz from?

Like I said, basic answer.

I should have been more clear, I was using my Memphis PR300.2 as n example.

My lpf, gives me a range option from 20-500hz...

Sorry for confusion.

So I imagine, without that in mind, it was not a correct answer.

yea i was having the same prob. at one time but leave it in high pass with the bass on the hu in the middle and it should sound good i had mine set to high with bass on hu set to -6 sounded like hammered horse sh!t set it to 0 and it sounds alot better
