What's going on?

Hi guys. i have a couple Qs. one) i have a DB Drive PLT12D subwoofer. when i push down on the cone, about halfway down it comes upon a rough spot and wants to stay there. what's that? it will play when being bench tested. two) the other sub i have is an Eclipse SW6123.4, and it has a rattle in the base, under the spider. it will reproduce bass really well other than that. is there a way i can fix it? whats the rattling? three) is a 24 cubic-foot box too big for a single 12"? would it sound good, would the sound just get lost in there? and four) the amp i have is a Bazooka CSA300.1, and it says 500 watts on it. would that be enough power for either of these subs if they're salvagable?

24 cubes is way to big for a 12 and what could you possibly fit that box in?

1. Your coil is rubbing on the magnet, motor shifted.

2. Not sure about this one, debris in there?

3. 24 cubes would be about right for 10 12" woofers. Look closer at 2-3 cubes depending.

What do you drive to fit 24 cubes or did you miss a period. My Refrigerator is only 18 cubes

A good sized van could fit 24 cubes no problem, according to edmunds my car has 19 cubes of storage space (meaning trunk and back seat area) with the back seat in place. If I took out the rear seat cushions in my car and walled it off I could probably fit a 15 cu. ft. enclosure in there somehow, with room for batteries and amps.
