What's better than a Alpine MRP-M500 SQ wise?

So from what I gather, when it comes to mono amps under $200, just buy any quality brand. If this is the case, then I'll just get the Cadence TXA-1000D, cause it looks nice lol. Is there any reason I should NOT get the TXA-1000D?

IF you want a SQ amplifier you need to spend a lot more and yes the TXA is a fine amplifier.

Pasmag did a review of a Boston Acoustics GTA amplifier (the 400m, basically the same thing as the newer 500m). They noted very good SQ and efficiency.

Now.. for $250 or so, if you google, you can pick up the GTA-1000 which is rated for 600/1000watts of power at 2ohm/4ohms respectively. I'd get one of these and call it a day. Far more improvement can be achieved though choosing the right driver and installing it correctly.
