whats better kicker l7 or mtx 9500?

Ok im trading and wanting to get the best sub for my trade

is the 12" Kicker l7 louder or is the 10" MTX 9500 louder?

im leaning towards the kicker myself but who knows i have a 2 channel 1200watt amp thats gonna power if that makes any difference.?

The 12 has more cone area... So it has the obvious advantage in spl.. If that answers ur question..

i always thought the 9500's were a bigger beefier sub. the 2006 L7's can take some serious abuse, and probly take as much power as the average 9500. personally id go with the 9500, even though the cone area is a little smaller. with the right box the differance would be negledible. if they were the same size id say the 9500 for sure, but even though its still a size smaller id still go wit hthe 9500 since its a better woofer. if you're seriously worried about spl, then stick with the l7, but if you can sacfrice a little and live with it probly sounding better (box dependant again)....then go with the mtx

L7's lack in low end so if you like the low notes when your whole car shakes and you feel it in your stomack then go with the 9500
