Whats an easy sub to recone?

I want to learn how to do this but I was wondering if there were some that were easier than others. I talked to one of techs at DD and he mentioned that they are kind of tough to recone? If the recones are cheap for a particularly easy sub that would be a huge plus!

really tho... any sub with a 12 spoke basket... its a pretty straightfoward process

Any sub is going to take the same steps to recone, regardless if it's an expensive sub or a cheap sub.

But if you are looking for a "cheap" sub to practice on, try to find a lower end RE or Fi sub and get a recone kit and try it.

a recone is a recone, your still replacing the soft parts. and reusing the basket/motor.

dude there are like a billion 12 spoke basket woofers out there go pick one, that has a recone, and have at it.

just take your time and have patience

If you want an inexpensive sub to bust your cherry with I've got a cerwin vega 'vega' motor/basket and a complete kit you can have for cheap...

I got a 6 spoke 18, twice as easy to work your hands around, i also heard about people reconeing:hide:........audiobahns, thats cheap
