Whats a MTX 81000D worth?

to run one at 1ohm, you need to remove the protection chip from the board. this will disable all the protection, short, thermal, etc.

i sold one about 5 months ago for $250 that had the mod. so i would say atleast $200 for one in good condition imo.

i rember seeing one somewhere but dont rember. i know it involves un soldering the chip and that was all that needed to be done. the one i sold had been fried and i sent it to a place called landis tech. they replaced the board and did the "mod" for me. if i rember right, the new birth sheet they sent back with the amp had it at a tick over 1500w at 1ohm and 12.5v. that amp ran quite hot but never gave me any problems.

i still have one that i bought new about 6 years ago thats not moded, its running a dd 1508 now but soon will have a dd2510 to beat on.

imo very good amps.

Frankly I heard they do about 1700 RMS @ 2 ohm @ 14.4 Volt as it is.

Which is @ 83-86% efficiency //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The tutorial is on ROE. They will run at 1ohm without the mod though, you just better have a **** good electrical. I've had 2 81000, 2of the first 1501s and a 1000. They all were run @1ohm for most of the time I had them with no mods. We all know that a 1ohm load after imp rise will be at least a 1.3-1.4 most of the time, so a daily system will be fine on this amp
