Whats a good brand of hydraulic crimps for 1/0 wire

Have you used that setup? Would be nice to get a few for the shop so the guys don't have to use my personal crimper..that I don't trust them..just that it costed a bit...
I have one....it's very similar to the harbor frieght, just has better sized dies. Works good, easy to use

They get a lot of good reviews over on smd as well, comes with a gasket set which is nice if it's ever needed

Have you tried them with the standard copper 2/0 terminal? That is the most commonly used terminal here.
not yet....if you're not in a hurry to buy one, I can take a pic with one of those terminals in the dies. If you want to see if they will fit, or actually crimp them good enough?

that would would be great.

I'm not in a huge hurry at all. Just got my interest peaked after seeing that and reading a few reviews. Seems like a great alternative for the $3k+ options out there.

Thanks for the help ever since my surgery I have trouble crimping any thing over 4 gauge I just dont have the strength anymore.Since Im about to start my build with 3 XS Power D3100's in the back a Mechman SMD aleternator with a XS Power D3400 under the hood with 4 runs of 1/0 Stinger wire I'm gonna need a good set of hydraulic crimps so I really appreciate the advise big time. Thanks again!!

alright, I'll post them in here and quote you so it shows up. Will probably be on Thursday

i have CT but still prefer crimped because it does give you a nice connection just as well as solder
Right, I just figured for the sake of saving the wear and tear on his hand(s). I got tendinitis in my hands so I can somewhat relate to what he's going through. I just solder cause its easy and less stress plus good solid connection. Not to mention soldering is just my thing that I'm good at lol
