Whats a good brand of hydraulic crimps for 1/0 wire

ebay has a few and the hammer type too all rather cheap and as far as durability they should last as long as you take care of them as there aren't a whole lot of parts inside just may need to replace the seals every now and then at most.

Thanks everybody this has been super helpful. There was a few on EBay between$50-$80 I'm just not sure if there any good.I think I will go to Harbor Freight this weekend and check those out to see if they will work for me.Any more suggestions would be great too guys!!!

Ya I will probably solder also but for work it would be nice to have the hydraulic crimps to do 4 gauge and bust out a quick 1/0 ring terminal but on my build which I will be starting soon I will be soldering all my battery and alternator connections. Thanks for your input I really appreciate it everybodys been a big help.

any interests in just soldering the terminals to the wire? it's waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper, better connection and 98% less stress on your hands!
until you forget the terminal is still hot and grab it! I've done that one on more then one occasion.

Looks like the Harbor Freight one would be my choice. Though a Google search brought up Greenley crimpers for only $3500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

under $100 for a hydraulic crimp is gonna be a hard find unless you get used, I have a $60 one from harbor freight and it's works great for me. it's only an 8 ton but does the job.
A friend as that one, but I don't like that it really don't go large enough with the dies provided with it.

There are also hammer type crimps. That what we use on our welders. Don't know if that will work or not.
We have several of them here. (we sell them)

As long as you have a good hammer and don't wimp out it is a nice cheaper alternative.
