Whats a good Amp For AQ HD315 ~2000 watts rms

I have just ordered the HD315 and this sub takes a good amount of power

specs are at 1000 watt rms but ive heard of people running up to 3000 watts to these.

I don't want to break my budget but what is a good amp for just ones of these subs.

Im looking for around 2000 watts.

I was thinking about the BX2005D HiFonics 2000 Watts Super D-Class Amplifier

anything will help.

You wanna buy the amp new or used?

~$400 on an Orion 2500D or MA HK4000D will do you good.

Look around the classifieds. . . I'll be ****ed if you can't get close to 2000 watts for ~$200.

eh 400 is a steep price..

i was looking in the area of 300-350

My VC is dual 2 ohm

i have np experience with buying used amps so im kinda scared to...

seems like lots of people used hifonics with this sub...

im open to options though

I don't have mine hooked up yet but I bought a refurbished Kicker kx2500.1 for mine. Birthsheet says 2754 watts, but thats at 2 ohm.

I currently have a profile AP2000

which puts out about 960 watts rms at 4 ohms or 480 at 2x 2 ohms.. probably overated ??

thought about just getting another one but there is no way i can hook it up for correct ohms...

Ill probably end up selling in and put $ towards new amp

the subs will take 4-5kw... but overheating is something that would become an issue if you beated them too hard...

if you paid almost 400 apiece for subs you may wanna think about shelling out enough money for an amp that would make those beasts happy...

I only have one sub and it gets very hot in my area during summer, so overheating will be an issue at that power...

Im thinking something in the 2000 rang should be sufficient enough...

may i mention this will not be for competition but for daily driving....

i don't care about how much power it can take in a burp but more of how much musical power it can take and sound good with..

im sure all the massive amount of air flying in an out of the port will give somewhat of a cooling effect tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

so once again, the sub cost about 374...

and the hifonics amp im looking at cost about 350-360 at the door?

does anyone know of any better price?

I don't worry about burping the sub... i wasn't too clear on that...

cehck to see if there is any AB amps out there in your price range...they offer a good deal of power for a good price... I think there was a AB 200.1 for around your price range on the soundpressure forum.
