Whats a good 12" Subwoofer for me?

Hey guys

First time post long time lurker, so I know there are a ton of experts on here with great advice. This is not another one of those threads where I'm going to ask for advice and then ridicule you guys for it...I dont drive a Beimer...hahahaha

Anyway...

Ok important info required by the experts:

Goals: 1 or 2 12" subwoofers for daily music (mainly hip hop, rap, r and b, rock, and country lol)

Vehicle: 2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab

Space Available: Roughly 3.68 cb ft before displacement

Measuremants for box space: 34" Long up to 12" High and 15" Wide

Amp: JL 1000/1

Sealed vs Ported: I love ports //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but if need be I will run sealed because of the limited space.

Budget: up to $300 total for the Subwoofer(s)

Box Design: well thats still up in the air because I have no clue on that subject at all lol

I am not against custom subs at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif as they would obviously be better than mass produced in china or korea or anywhere else thats outsourced lol. However, I am completely oblivious to alot of the specs on subwoofers hence why I am on this forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif trying to soak up all the knowledge and learn a thing or two .

the tc9 is a tc sounds based motor that is widely used for sql to spl subs. companys such as eclipse,ed,automobile,orion,shocker,si,and many others. it is a 8" diameter motor that comes with 2 or 3 3/4" slugs or 2 1" slugs.

Definitely consider this OP. Keep in mind that custom subs, in many cases, are a lot cheaper to have fixed, should something happen in the future.
