can you not hear them sound like crap before they blow. I would try turning your sub off and making sure you set the gains properly just by listening to it

they sound crystal clear... im not frying the speakers.. just the crossovers.

I don't know if you should go the type X route considering that you have a tendency to crank it up. They really are not known for being loud, now are they?

got the tye x's.. reset the gains.. and it GETS LOUD. and clear.... i like how the xtypes have a light in the crossovers that lights up when there is noticeable distortion.. you set the gains till they bairly blink.... sounds great...

just would like to get a nice 2 or 4ch to give them clean pure power

Yeah, that may explain why my comment did not apply. I thought you were talking about the old ones. I was just basing that off of their reputation - very good sq but not the loudest.

I have not heard much about the refs. I am considering the Pros -- but it's hard to get past that point since they may never avtually hit the US market.

i have them in fully seald door pods.. the mid bass is amazeing... it's nice to turn my bass knob down and still have some good mids and lows comeing from the front... i got them BNIB for 185.00
