Well My ride is lacking the mids big time.Stock 3.5"s in the dash and Two 12" Alpine Type R's.

My doors DO NOT have a factory speaker location.

Now I really would like to buy a pair of AA High Excursion Poly 6.5" mids and place on in each front door using door pods.

It's going to be harder than I thought though becuase on the bottom half of my door panel's are pockets to put papers cd's or whatnot in leaving very little room to work with.

I have attached some photos of my doors.some photos contain a pack of ciggarettes or a cd sittin ontop of the pocket in the door to show size reference/working area.

Just need some tips on how do make a door pod for my doors.

1995 Oldmobile Cutlass Ciera V-6 3.1L 4dr sedan.

I am going to see if there is anypossible way to make the door pods with out cutting the pockets out of the door.

I have some scrap 3/4" MDF from when I made my sub box a month ago so I'll make up a few mock up dorr pod panel designs to see what looks good and if it can be done with out cutting off the pockets.

Still open for suggestions.

You can make door pods no problem with that space with alittle glass.

Will just require alittle effort.

I know that,but I am not a big fan of little leg room.I tore some shit in my knee a few years ago and I am most comfortable when my left leg is fully extended when I am driving. plus if I ever had to use the emergency brake it would smash the driver side kickpod.

I am going to buy some of those el cheapo durabrand speakers to mess around wit and find my spot in the door and then return the durabrands to wally world FTW!!
