mach5 is the exception to the rule. I wanna get 2 15" IXL as soon as i get the cashya i knew i was prolly wrong. i just havnt heard of anyone running them really and they are way cheaper than the others. in my experience you usually get what you pay for to a certain degree.
no it doesn'tmy q hits lows and picks up below 20 htz. no sound but it shakes alot
it really does.mach5 is the exception to the rule. I wanna get 2 15" IXL as soon as i get the cash
no it doesn't
in the box you have right now? I doubt if it doesit really does.
don't go by just T/S parameters. Those do not tell the whole story. Xmax is not the most important //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifthe ixl has a lower xmax and less cone area than all the above subs, which are 2 major components to moving lots of air. that's why they kinda turn me off at the moment

How so? I have used 10's that have gotten lower than many 15's and 18's. Aura NS-10 and a prototype 10" with a 3hp motor that I have gets VERY low.Go with the 15's man; simply the best choice overall.
I would agree that 18" would be nice, but then he'd have it sealed. Ported would be louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifHow so? To the OP, I was very pleased with my 18" RL-p in 5 cubes sealed. A 15" would get plenty low as well. If you have the power and room, go with a TC 5200 or 5400.
That is just the TC route. The IXL seems like it can get the job done as well, as with several other drivers out there. It all depends on how much room you want to take up, how low you really want to get, how loud you want to get, how much power you will be giving them, etc.
To give you an idea, I had my 18" RL-p, granted the t/s parameteres were probably slightly skewed since one coil was dead, it was seeing 2,000w (rf t30001bd @ 2 ohms) in 5 cubes sealed in my '01 Accord sedan. I was doing around 137 dB @ 32 Hz on music. It get VERY low and got quite darn loud. The sub doesn't need all that much power either, 1200 -1500 is plenty. Also, my box was a little on the small side for the 18, I would love to have put it in at least 6 cubes, though 7 cubes sealed would be much better.
