Got mine for $4,000 4 years ago and it only had 112,000 miles on it..

Largely overpriced IMO.

They go for about 1500$ in my area, and 99 Tahoes are going for 2k or less....

Gas is only going togo up, keep that in mind..

I wouldn't give a dime over 2k...

I got my 96 Dodge ram, with 9" of lift among a bunch of other goodies for less then 2300$.

if they will replace motor for free including labor i would buy used motor for $500 and have them do it right away. that way it is done and not sitting on the back of your mind.
