Ok guys, finally got a job at a shop. its not really big right now there is the onwer and a full time guy. I am going to be part time seeing as i have another job , and have no experience aside from the work I have done in my car and a couple friends cars. The onwer wants me to give him a number in terms of hourly pay.

What do you guys think I should ask for?

I'm currently studing the Basic Installer Guide for the MECP I hope to become certified by the end of next month, but its not garanteed i am also in the process of taking a class for supervisor position at my other job.

As of right now leave it open for whatever he thinks is decent. When you complete your schooling and get a certification than ask for more or look for a job in a good reputable shop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I like the idea of commision, now would this be commision from bringing in customers or for every car that I turn over (IE. work on in a day) Its hard to start high when i don't have the experience nor will i be fulltime. I could easily be replaced.

I want the most I can get but i want to be reasonable... i was thinking about asking for $9. Min wage here is $6.75/hr
