Id buy a pair of D3's and with the rest construct a wall of funky pups.

Seriously

big *** alt.

Optima or equivilant battery

Alpine or Eclipse HU (comp level no CC crap)

DIY comps fo sure

3 eD O's wang!

Tsunami or Avionixx amps whatever wattage/ohmage fits the bill (im lazy)

screw the rear fill

Peel and Seal

0/1 Welding cable

Just a thought, but you might want to stay away from the 6x9's in the back...oval speakers distort easily. If you go with good components in the front and give them good power, you may be able to forget about the rear fill (it screws up imaging).

I'd look into these (but there are many other good brands):

-HU: Alpine

-Components: CDT, Adire Audio, Focal, JL

-Amp for comps: US Acoustics, Profile,

-Subwoofers: 3 subs might be a pain to get wired at a normal ohm rating, Elemental Designs, Orion, Adire Audio

-Sub Amp: Tsunami, Avionixx, JBL

-Sound Deadening: eDead (elemental designs)

-Wiring: Will depend on size of amps, KnuKonceptz

With five grand to work with you'll have a lot of options, IMO you should try to listen to as many of the speakers and subs as you can to get a feel for what you like. These are just my suggestions, there's a lot of other good stuff out there too, so look around. Good Luck!

hoiw about this.you tell us a limit on how much u want to spend on each item.do u want top of the line?mediocre?better than average?cuz i mean my system was like 2g's after everything iv bought and i got ripped off..so we can save u LOTS of money here...just do this for us,go to Circuit city, good guys, maybe even best buy,but moreso than others, you local car shop, and listen to the speakers and subs you like, look at the amps and HU's you like..tell us what tickled your fancy.then we will know what kinda"style" you want in ur car.that way it makes our jobs a lil easier and we can save you more money by knowing exactly what you want.

For the HU, I would go with something like a Alpine 9815 or something like that or maybe something like an Eclipse.

You will probally need to replace your alt with a high powered one and then get another alt too. Preferably 2 200 alts. With the power you want, you probally going to need to run a crap load of power wires, beef up the grounds in your truck and all that, probally run dual 1 ga to the back of the truck to the amps or maybe tri 1 ga.

Speakers, hmm you can go with a few Brands, the Adire Audio Kodas are a good component set, and they arent super pricey either, they have good midbass and are good in stock locations. Definately something to look into. Also maybe Dynaudio or Focal Utopias but those are really overpriced I think.

For subwoofers, lots of choices, personally my favorite is the Adire Audio Brahma. It has XBL^2 technology, sounds good even when its bumping. The new Brahma just came out great woofer. You dont really need 3 12's if you went with the Brahma 2 of them with 1000 watts to each is pretty **** loud. And it will still sound pretty awesome too.

For Amplifiers you can go with a lot of different brands, Zapco makes some good amps. Xtant also comes to mind.

Sub amplifiers, you have tone of choices here, you can go with a big Zapco, go with something like a Viper 2500d or a Orion 2500d, also you can get a coupple 1000 watt amps. The JBL 1200.1 comes to mind, one of the new JBL amps also. I think Tusuami can be found also 1000 watts for cheap.

Sound deadening material, Bquiet, Brown Bead, or how ever you spell it, and many others. Dynamatt is just overpriced. Search the forum for sound deadening material or dynamatt.

Like I said about wiring above you gonna need lots of it. Check this website out good wiring good prices. And they have good products and good people to deal with.

http://www.knukonceptz.com

Hmm how much will this cost

$400 HU

$500 Alt Upgrades

$750 2 Brahmas

$350 Koda Component Set

$150 6x9 for back

$250 Sounddeading material

$300 Wiring and all that good stuff

$200 MISC exspense

$350 Amp for speakers

$400-$800 amp for woofers

Total $3500-$4000

And thats my 2 cents.

zapco amps...uhm yea..the 4kw retails at 6g's...just to give an idea of what its like..i think the 1500w one(if in not confusing my amps)is more than 800...xtant is hella money too.viper 2500d is bout 1200 in stores..800 more like it..same w/ orion but he cant run the orion cuz its not 2.5lw @2ohms..its at 1ohm..the viper is 2ohm@2.5kw..

if hes going high class on everything maybe he can get something a little nicer than a 1200.1..im NOT saying in any, way, shape,or form it is a bad amp or anything of that nature.im simply saying he may want something that is going to give him more watts.the jbl is a good amp.jbl and hifo are good budget amps.and i love my hifo so dont get me wrong.

sound deadening=secondskin

what kind of car is this going in.

this is what i would do.

Alpine 9815>Focal Utopias(front setup)>Midbass for the rear fill(Peerless, CDT, ID)>3 12" Ed O's>100x4 amp for speakers(phoenix gold, alpine, Arc Audio)>2000 watt mono amp that can supply enough power at the ohm load(Viper, Orion, Xtant)

That setup would be amazing. Period. Theres plenty of amps to choose from that would fit ur needs. As well as speakers and subs.

Here is my input on what you should get.

Alternator wise:

1 300-400 amp alternator, depending on if you can fit that big of a one in there. If not i suggest getting 2 200amp alternators. Contact Dominick @ dominick@tds.net. He's very trusted and is one hell of a guy to get alternators from.

Battery Wise:

Optima, or Stinger. If go with Optima, you can look into the Red Tops, Yellow Tops, and if you contact Optima and talk to them privately you may be able to score an Optima ORANGE Top //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/omg.gif.05aa02c3095d6ce9338996654eca0863.gif :veryhappy . Yes for all you people who think you know Optima i bet you didnt know they made an Orange top. Well happens to be they do, only sold in Japan, but i believe if you talk with Optima privately you can have a couple for a nice price. Supposely suppose to be a combo of a Red Top and Yellow.

HeadUnit:

Look at Alpine series. Possibly the Alpine CDA 9815. Also check out Eclipse. Not sure model numbers but alot of them are real nice. If you really want to get fancy... Check out the DVD players/Screen ones. You could have a nice little front setup for it.

Components:

CDT Audio Eurosport 6.5 Component set. Check out http://www.thezeb.com.

Focal Power k2s

Rainbow Comps

Alpine F1s

Component Amps:

Zapco C2K-3.0x, ARC Audio (XXK 2100, XXK 1500D), Eclipse, Directed Audio, Orion.

Subwoofer (x2, x3):

You wouldnt want something to over powering, cause you wouldnt be able to listen to.

Elemental Design's O's or A's, SI Magnum D2's, JL Audio 12/13w7, Adire Brahma, Eclipse Titanium Pro's, Orion H2's... alot more.

Amplifier:

Arc Audio (XXK 2500, XXK 4000), US Amps USA-2000 / USA-2000X, Cadence Amps (Z7000CF, Z777g(Big but worth it)), Zapco C2k-9.0XD(expensive but worth it), Tsunami 1800T, Avionixx.... alot more!

Wires:

KnuKoncept, any wire basically.

Box:

Build your Own!!!!

There you go, you have a very big majority to pick from, and take it as you like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I say go with 3 jl 12" w7 or any other highg wattage subs. BUT, instead of getting one big amp, get three seperate ones(all that support the peek level of the sub), sometimes you can get more powere out of it. Dont go with the 6x9's in the back. It can distort it adn really screw your sound up. Just get high quality speakers in the front along with sperate tweeters, adn a spereate amp powereing the speakers. 4 gauge will do it for you, it supports SOOO much power. Dont forget to get a larger fuse bpox if you do this.,

HU: Alpine 9815 $370

Components: CDT eurosports 6.5" 3 way comps thezeb.com es643 $729.99

Comp amp: Look into arc, zapco, us acoustics

Subwoofers: 2 magnum d2's http://www.stereointegrity.com $600

Sub amp: tsunami 1800t

electrical: 240amp alt....red top starting...yellow top in rear

0/1 awg welding cable...fuses and holders on ebay

box: build ur own...or get one custom built

Spend extra on tv's, dvd, etc.

it'd wang

Just remember, you don't always need to spend a lot to get a lot. If you can get the same or very similar results for $2000, why spend $5000?

Personally, I'd put that money toward a new car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif At least the leftover money.
