What Would You Do? BXI1608D or BXI2008D

I'm getting 2- 12'' 4ohm Re Audio SE's Subs with a combined total of 1200 watts rms.

Knowing that what amp should I get, the Hifonics BXI 1608D (1600 rms) or the Hifonics BXI 2008D (2000 rms)? There both 1 ohm stable.

BXI2008D , i had that amp for a little bit and it was a great amp.

The 1608 should do around 1400 watts at 1 ohm so you'd have some headroom with that one. I run my 1606 for all its worth on 4 DD 1008s which can take about 3000W RMS total, and the amp barely even heats up. If you don't care about the price difference get the slightly bigger amp just so you have room for growth. But the 1608 would do just as fine unless those REs are seriously underrated.
