what would you charge?

$1000 is what I would charge for a job like that and that may even be to cheap. But I would charge a $1000 just labor plus supplies which I would mark up.

Yea I would say at LEAST 1500-2000 in labor charges... that is not including the cost of the materials you'll need (if you are buying all the equipment) and then I would quote him like a weeks worth of work to make it easy for you to get it done without being rushed..

Andrew

definitely is a HELL of a job

the sound deadening in itself is a *****, as well as installing all the componenets and the wiring

it will take u a WHILEEEE so u better tell him to expect it to be a lot

hopefully there will be more than 1 person working on it

Well, also take into consideration the quality of work he'll receive. I haven't a clue of how good/bad you are, but you do, so I guess be fair.

With the numbers being thrown around at this point, I would definitely get a deposit up front. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

heavily depends on HOW MUCH sound deadening....

most audio shops would charge a grip for sound deadening... 36 sq. feet = $125-150+ (install-- its more or less what i've seen audio shops charge)

Also don't over-extend yourself and give him a low price where it WON'T motivate you to finish it and do it correctly. Labor is an important part of every install, let him know that.
