What would you buy considering wattage, lower price, efficiency, etc.

1.) Hifonics Brutus 1605d - 1600watts $165

2.) Sundown SAE-1000d - 1000watts $250

3.) ED nine.1 - 1200 watts $210

Running a 12" v3 mag in 2.0cu ft @34hz

i liked my hifonics 1206 but havent gotten to hear my nine.1 yet...... what are you gonna be running off these?

Well hifonics won't put out rated power most likely, so if you just need like 1300 or 1400 watts, get that. I hear a lot of bashing about the nine.1, but also hear some good so don't know if I would pick one up or not. Sundown is pricey, but is a proven performer. However it's only giving you 1000 watts, so if that's all you need, get the hifonics and save some money.

I'd say that the Sundown being underrated, the ED being rated quite accurately, and the hifonics being slightly overrated that they'd all put out close to the same amount of power; or close enough not to yield an audible difference.

So how much does build quality mean to you? I'd say the nine.1 is a good compromise, but many people will say choose the best and go with the sundown or go with the cheapest and go with the hifonics.

Yeah. You are not gonna hear a difference with 100 watts, maybe not even 200.. I just checked dB-r's website and my amp will be finished up tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So maybe if you haven't chosen by the time I get it I can give you an educated review.. seeing as how many of the people who bash Hifonics amps and the NINe.1 are people who have never even heard one.

I know how you feel. It's being shipped to me. But its only from Texas (I'm in Arkansas) so pretty much 1 or 2 day shipping with UPS. I'm so excited... been waiting a while to get this amp back.

4 cylinder toyota and 90 amp (iirc) alt FTL. I'm doing everything I can besides buying a new alt to get this shit running good lol.

Heh. Just one of my many death wishes per day. Honestly, I wish death upon people for shorting me 2 or 3 cents at the store, so it is not all too uncommon.

It's funny actually. I even think about it long enough and wish up ways for them to die, and how they should have to suffer, I run it all through in my head over and over just thinking of more ways they could be miserable as they lie there dying. It passes time.

I've always gone bang for the buck so I voted hifonics.

If, however, I had an ample supply of money I would have voted for the nine.1.
