What do you want the HU to have? Maybe aux input for a mp3 player? high volt pre-outs?
You are only almost sure you need it under $200? If you look into buying something used I think you could get something decent for that price range.

Its hard to decide.. I could get the KDC X695, 496 and the Pioneer 8400 all for between 140-150$... or the KDC 396 for only 100$.
So I guess, why would I spend more for the other three? And out of those three why would I pick one over the other?

Pioneer DEH 7400 and the Kendwood KDC X396
I am hung up because they both have a few different features but I am not sure what is more worth while.
The Kenwood HAS speaker size and position settings but DOES NOT have a HPF.
The Pioneer HAS a HPF and LPF but DOES NOT have speaker size and position settings, the pioneer also has an interesting MIXTRAX feature which I would like since I always shuffle my music and Apple's shuffle *****.

No not really. I just kinda want it now. So that makes it harder to buy used. There are a few PRS 880s for sale, but I don't know if i want to spend 200$ however if I did that is probably what I would go with.
Best unit hands down is the new pioneer DEH-P9400BH, i challenge anyone to check the specs. Its offers more then any other unit for 200bucks, there 180 on ebay right now

Ive been researching HUs for the past 6months for my upgrade lol other then that the 80prs are the best but there 350+. If you want to go a lil cheaper the 7400 by pioneer is good, also any JVC arsenal series is great

HD radio BT stuff like that means nothing to me. I am just looking for a solid unit that will make the most out of what I have, the only "fancy" thing that is important to me is ipod control.
Then ide say go with a JVC arsenal, there cheaper and have great built in ipod controls. Soundsolutionaudio.com has the whole series for sale
