What Would sound better (1 re xxx 12, 3 se 8"s, or 2 re xxx 10's)

Why seal it, go ported. Sealing a XXX with 2000 watts is a waste of money.

im saying IF he seals it, like because he doesnt know how to calculate the ports and doesnt want to pay an *** load for some jerk to do it... but i change my mind, im gunna say two 10"s with 1000 each. way more cone area. port and tune low

BTW, a waste of money to one person isnt necesarily a waste to another. IMO, an xxx is a waste of money. i could get two 15" L7s for the price of one 15" xxx, whch would probably be a little bit WAY LOUDER. it depends on what you want out of it.

Making a sub loud is the easy part, getting it to sound good while doing it is the hard part. And usually the expensive part.

tunning is an issue, but the main reason for a sealed box is because of space issues. i don't want to totally elliminate my trunk, if any of you know anyone with a corvette coupe check out the trunk area and give me some ideas. it would be useless to port a 1.25 cf box if i go with the center section sub. if i go with multiple subs then i can still get away with only loosing half my trunk and getting a 3.5 cf box. i really appreiciate the input keep it comming i just really want to replace my immortal subs.

See when you save money you can loose it too. If u got 2 15" L7s then you'll need a amp or even 2 amps to give them a respectable amount of power to make them bump more than a XXX. i know u know this but maybe someone else doesnt. =)

mostly rap some rock, i'm debating 4 10's but not sure will keep posted depending on how big a box i can fit under the hatch.

Tens are a good choice. I like them a little more when listening to rock.
