my system currently consists of everything listed in sig...and i have to opportunity to get a 15" XXX (for a good price) or a Pioneer Premier P860MP HU....would switching from the SX to the XXX be a better idea or do u guys think the money would be better spent on the HU? TIA...

nope stock alt...80 amps...voltmeter through cig lighter says i stay steady around 14 V...never drop below like 13.4V...

Depends on what you are looking for in your stereo upgrade. Difference in what? Difference how? What do you want improved? What's more important to you in a stereo?

Depends on what you consider to be the weak link of your setup now, and how good the deals are. When I bought my 860, I got it on ebay for around $230 shipped, and when I bought my 15" XXX, I bought it brand new for $320.

Having said all that, Id probably get the 860, if both are good deals........Definitely a great deck, should be a more dramatic upgrade than swapping the SX out for an XXX.
