What would it take to beat 4W7s??? Ramos, Bassma, Audiolife, Jlaine, JLman, Ranger???

Yes 130 is not extremely hard, but I'm willing to bet his setup is for excellent sq.

Hifonics is not my forte...and as for the sq, that is what I am trying to do with the XXX.

Well let me get in on this too, hey while we are having this discussion, what sounds good to one person might sound like crap to another. Jlaine, you have reviewed plenty of subs, you know what your doing, but your ears are different than mine and everyone else's on the board. Ranger, you've also heard plenty of subs, but your ears are also different. If you like it, then that's all that matters, build your system for you not for anyone else. I'd also like to take the time to point out, that in some previous posts Jlaine you pointed out that Ranger had never actually heard some sorta sub, yet he had second hand advice, but you go on to admit, that you were given advice on a sub by a few trusted people. Wouldn't that be second hand advice also? Anyhow, the point is, nobody can hear every sub or test every amp on the market, that is why we rely on friends and trusted people. I'm sure everybody here has bought something without testing it out, just bought it simply because a friend raved about it.

I've been given suggestions by people I trust, but I do not take the suggestions and go off attempting to tell others that it is an excellent/poor driver without hearing it myself. I get opinions from everyone around the globe on woofers to try out, but I never count out/discredit, or promote a woofer until it's undergone my personal testing...

So no, it isn't second hand advice, as I have given none... I have listened to people that I know that have personal experience with a driver, but I never attempt to portray it as my personal experience like I have seen here...

if u got the room 6 15w3s or w6s with the right amp will blow the 3 w7z away easily, especialy if there only hittin 150 thats not as loud as u think it is that couldnt win a comp, and for what he prolly spent it wasnt worth it

That is the point!!! I have heard the W7...no I don't personally own one, and I never will, and you know why??? It is because of one simple reason. THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. If you want to address me, do it like a man, and not like "like I have seen here..." I don't have time to argue with you about something you have never heard and probably something that you never will hear.

Was this "debate" about the W7? I could have sworn it was about you toting the XXX and never hearing it... You want to talk about brick walls... I call that straight out lying. Contrary to your belief, I will audition the W7, when I feel I have the time to. I have an open invitation to audition one, just not the time to drive the 3 hours to get to the girls house right now.

Seeing as how it wasn't directed toward you, just a general comment, I think it looks like you feel rather guilty about the situation (aka: promoting a woofer you have never heard, never seen firsthand, and never touched), as you are rather defensive about it when it is even remotely brought up. Interesting situation..

I'm quite shure this debate had nothing to do with the W7, instead it was about me asking you about your personal experiences with the XXX as you were talking so great about it I figured you had one around and could help me, you having none, and you getting irritated from there...

Fine I will quit wasting your time and mine. I admit that I am wrong. I will be glad to give you my opinion on the XXX, upon recieving it. I would be glad to hear your review on the W7, maybe your opinion will change mine. I'm sorry about the whole thing, and I am not trying to be juvenile, but I had a bad day yesterday, and I was just blowing off a little steam. Displaced anger. I hope you will accept my apologie. Out of curosity, which do you feel is better, the W7 or the XXX?

I'm not sure... From a technological standpoint the W7 is a unique design and has some great standpoints for it, but right now I can't formulate an opininon on either because I haven't had enough time to play with them both...

I'll get around to the W7, just time issues right now are my main factor. The XXX will happen here shortly because it is falling into my lap.

Until I can compare them both in ideal environments, I can't make a statement against/for either yet...

Apology accepted, everyone has pissy days, and from what I have seen at my house yesterday, you are not the only one that had a bad attitude... seemed like half my family did..

I'm still trying to get recomended box enclosures out of the guys at RE...they did however tell me it would be a 1600 watt sub about a week and a half ago...I cant wait to get the subs in, I plan on some higher #s out of them.

I know I am talking big about them, but I have faith in these subs. After hours and hours of research, I hope that finding this sub and buying it is the right choice.
