I have used /owned /installed /listened to everything on your list except the RE XXX . I just got the blueprint a couple of weeks ago along with a brahma. IMHO the blueprint and the brahma are pretty close. I believe they will dust the eclipse in the right enclosure. It has better sq than the Inhuman's. Price wise you can pretty much by two blueprints for the price of one of the others on your list. I believe in the right enclosures all of the subs you mentioned could dust W7's . The RE XXXs were 359 each for the 12s and about 399 each for the 15s. Not bad for the highest linear excursion in the world (unofficially)

That’s exactly what I was saying to my ///M3 buddy, only to be greeted with “Watch how much the excursion is when I turn it up…” He seems to think that the W7 is the last word in excursion capability, but no matter how hard I try, he just wont leave it alone – I keep saying try RE’s site and have a look at the XXX……

Oh and why is it unofficial??????

6 DD – but its gonna be difficult to do an SQ box I think for this one?

 

I think a suitable amp to map EACH of 2 (or does it have to be 4 – if I can beat im with 2 it’ll be doubly impressive considering how much each dman JLW7 costs) either –

 

MTX8100D or Zapco 9.0D class or MMATS

 

Any help from anybody will be greatly appreciated………please also feel free to suggest any makes I have missed out……………..

Actually the brahma has a better low end than the ID Max, and the ID max handles the upper end with more finesse, as stated by a friend of mine that has both. In terms of SQ, I'd say they are on a equal plane, if not the brahma edging the ID Max due to the improved clarity in the lower end, and I cross my subwoofers over hellaciously low...

Something that is missing from this equation is what EXACTLY is this going into?

If the decision was mine, I'd go right ahead and place 4 12" brahma's in a sealed .707 Qtc. alignment, with about 1400 watts on each of them. (jbl, mtx, whatever... power is power, provided it stays clean)

RE's excursion limits aren't official yet due to a verified dumax sheet supplimenting the claim. It should happen soon enough though, I believe it is in the works...

I WILL have side-by-side information on both the XXX and the Brahma 12" soon enough... July 19~23rd is the car audio get together at my house, where both of these woofers will be taken around the block... and metered. And auditioned...

"Yeah, I bought 2 12s for $359 each. My advise to you would be to get some. I found out about them by looking on another forum and asking a guy who had them what they were like. He said that it was the best SPL sub he had owned. He had also owned DD, Juggernaut, and Adire subs. Then he told me it was the second best SQ sub he had behind an IDQ. He was refering to the XXX subs. That impresses me, but rangerman also later stated that they guy he bought them from said it would take 2-3 week for the subs to arrive on his door step.

Okay i metered the monster last night. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The single 1203 in a 3.5 cuft ported enclosure. I used to different tunings. One for spl (51hz) and one more towards daily driving (30hz). D@mn SPL enclosure is about two inches too tall to put in the trunk. So I had to set it in the back seat. With the spl enclosure and 750w it did a 140.1db. With 3000w ( i had to try it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) it did a 153.7db. Not too bad for a hastly built enclosure. And a guess at the resonant frequency of the car.

With the daily driver enclosure I must first say wow. The overall SQ was incredible. With 750w it did a 133.6db. And with 3000w it did a 145.5db.

I also tried the sealed enclosure just for kicks. 750w it did a 132.1db. With 3000w it did a 140db even. Not too bad for a sealed box.

I have some kicken gear for ya.... go to soundfxsales.com and check out the MOFO searies subs by power acoustik, these things are tight. The 12's has a 270 oz magnet, with 2400 watt power handleing.

The are very comperable to the W7's, at less than half the cost... check it out!!! Also available is the amp to push it. 2100 watt Class D running at 2 ohm, and i believe that it runs at 1900 or 2000 RMS.
