Assuming both setups are properly powered... but in your case I would go ported if possible, since your trying to achieve SPL

With the same amp running both the setups at the same power he should still be ahead with the 12's. I would go with 12's. x2 on ported though for your app.

I reccomend 1 ported 15'' over 2 12'' sealed. But if you're stuck on sealed, get the 2x 12''.

nobody cares how you feel about Type R's. Just answer the mans question
