what would give better output 1 18" 2 15"

Ok heres the thing i have a 18" xxx recone on the way the thing is a guy wants to trade me that has 2 15" cvx's silver cone. What do you think would give better output? The 15's are in a prefab box (ported) and the 18" in a "custom" made box tune to 32. I will have this system in a 2005 dodge dakota no rear seats. each will be ran proper power. just curious what you guys think. thanks

but seriously, 2 good 15s vs. one good 18

but it would probably be a toss-up, i can bet the 2 15s are in way too small of a box

When you say better output. . .?

I personally am not a fan of 18"s unless you are looking only for SPL at very low hz.

For SQ I would recommend the 15's. Make them a better box - you should have enough room in the back of a dakota.

PS. If you are talking about 1 18 vs 2 15's, I think you would get more SPL out of the 2 15's as well.

Do CVX's even come with a silver cone????? I am pretty sure the CVX always has a dark grey cone. THe silver cone's are comp VR's in which case no way in hell would I take that trade.
