what will be louder

In my opinion I would go with (2) XS-L100P5W's...front firing.....they only take like .5 cu ft each and could easily fit in that box you had drawn above....

Of course everybody hates them so this post may be moot.

one site i fouond it said it recommends .75 - 2 cubes for that 12. so far i came up with a wedge box. 9"top, 15" bottom, 13" high, 18" long. This would net a 1.18 cu ft box. about 1 cube after sub displacement.

Im no box genious, but im sure my calcs are correct.

well, what i recommended is two 10's however i don't know if they would out perform the type x......but should be close to at least equal.......everybody hates them but mine thump hard and sound uber clean......

ya i defiantly want 2 10's i think if it fits with the dimensions i have and i would like to be atleast equal with the type x .. also does anyone have a idea what my 12 inch type x is worth? i used it for a couple months , my buddy is interested but i dont know what to ask for it. this would be with a box included with the type x.. its the same box JL reccomends for the 12 inch w7.. ported.

im just so confused on what i can do.. i kind of was hoping for 2 10's but i doubt 2 10 inch w7s would fit because of air space needed.. price isnt so much a issue on the subs .. i just want to achieve my goal of equal or beatin the x lol.. and if i can i will use the jl 1000/1.. dependin on the subs.. and if its 2 much then i gues ill have to get a new amp also.

Well, the subs I have are entry level, but with the 150.2 pushin' them they sound wondermous.....

I think as long as you have a quality amp you would be satisfied.....

I'm just waiting for the flaming to start.

...mmmm mt 10. My amp WISHES it could power that thing. I wonder how much spl you gould get outa that thing.
With 2500 watts and a 4.5 ft^3 box tuned to 30, I did at 139.9 at 26 Hz in a 84 T'Bird with the one I used to have...

It was in the trunk, and my dash was hopping up and down...

I wish I wouldve taken a vid, it was amazing.
