i dont have a whole lot of room in my trunk, i have 2001 honda civic coupe, and its bagged now so i have a air tank in the trunk, what would be louder, one 10 inch w7 or two 8 inch w7

The 2 8s have a slight edge in displacement over the 10...(about 6%) so they both have the capability to get loud. I'd go with whatever is cheaper.

how will two 8 inch w7's compare to one 12 inch alpine type x that i currently have. and how much space is needed for a box for the 8's (sealed so it will use less room)?

honestly the 8s shouldnt be much louder than the Type X...not worth the money

its a space issue is why i want something smaller, the type x will no longer fit. so im pretty much looking for small subs that will still pound hard

Have you tried putting the Type X in a smaller box? .75 cubic feet looks like itd work fine.

go with a diyma 12 if you're low on space...

they can fit in a .3-.5 cubic foot box optimally

well the subs must be placed in the front of the trunk (closest to the rear seats) and i doubt a 12 inch will fit because of height problems. andi kind of wanted a new setup anyways

if you can power a type-x, you can get anything moving at least equally loud

mine had an unquenchable appetite for power

and 2 8's may be just as loud, but not in the same bandwidth
