What will be a better amp

I currently have two 12" t1s in an orion bass pack ported box. 1/0 ran everywhere, 8g speaker wire, kinetic bat all crammed into my neon. Now here is my dilemma, I am currently using an orion hcca1200d to push them, 1 ohm at 600w rms. I just got a planet audio rem2400 which will do 800w rms @ 4 ohms. Now to make the switch I have to rewire the subs, I'm wondering if it is worth it to rewire them and install the new amp or just keep what I have. I'm trying to make it louder, but I'm not sure the extra 200rms will make a difference. Oh one last thing hcca is rated at 14.4 & the rem2400 is at 12.9 according to their sheets. So if anyone knows if this will make a difference please let me know.

i don't know two much about your amps, it seems the planet audio is 4ohm stable bridged, and 2 ohm stable stereo.

what are the specs on the orion?

with those speakers your only options are 4 ohm and 1 ohm.

yeah the planet audio really does about 800-900 MAX. fuse rating of 40 amps x2=80 amps. 80ampsx14.5volts=1160 watts. you probably not going to push more than 13 volts to the amp, so don't expect much more than 900 watts out of it bridged into 4 ohms. also that's an older planet audio amp from 2003. planet audio was a bit better company back then. so it will do rated power or more.

The orion which is currently installed sees 14.4 daily. The planet audio I know is going to see that so I should be able to hit 800rms @4 ohms no problem. Correct mgr if I'm wrong but the planet audio was tested by them at only 12.9, so I should be able to do more than the 800rms right?
