What tuning frequency?

Trying to figure out a good frequency to start my box build. Im going to go with 2 15" DC Audio Level 3's.

I have been told 30-35Hz... My amp says the infrasonic filter is set to 28Hz.....

After reading 10+ pages of the Sealed vs Ported thread I am confused....

It says if I tune to 35Hz lets say....that the actually tuning might be 6+Hz lower then that.....WTF!

I just want a number to shoot for so I can start running the numbers or looking for a box design from one of the nice folks on the forum.

BTW I listen to mainly rap...bass music...little Pantera/Metallica type stuff every now and then..

Also.... any good calculators out there? I searched through google and there are a ton, just checking any recommendations from you guys.

Thanks guys! Any calculators you would recommend? I admit I am not overly in the know with all of the subwoofer lingo....like vas, ft3, sf...or whatever else I see labeled. But I can see if it asks for displacement, I can go find the displacement etc etc.

i perfer 34 but there isnt much of a diff between 32-34

mine is at 34 and i listen to rap rock and country and it sound great on all of it and the song white girl it will tare up that song
